College of the Arts Student Advising

The College of the Arts Student Success Center is dedicated to fostering student success through a range of services.
We offer support throughout the entire academic journey, from admission to graduation, and strive to facilitate students' academic development.
Our initiatives are designed to ensure a seamless transition into college life, empower students to take ownership of their academic paths,
and ultimately reach their goal of undergraduate degree completion.

Advising Services for Current Students

General Education and Registration Advising

During peak enrollment times, all advisors assist students with preparing to enroll in classes for the upcoming semester. Though, it’s never too early to plan ahead! For General Education and Registration support, freshmen and sophomores can meet with the Retention Specialist; juniors and seniors can meet with the Graduation Specialist.

Academic Success Advising

The Retention Specialist provides advising to students on academic notice and provides all students with the necessary tools and resources to succeed academically. Meet with the Retention Specialist if you need help navigating the registration system or need information on University/College academic policies (stop-out, petitions, withdrawals, change of grade, etc.).

Graduation Advising

The Graduation Specialist provides advising to juniors (60-89 units) and seniors (90+ units). Meet with the Graduation Specialist if you have questions about graduation requirements, need help to determine when to apply for graduation or the graduation term you applied for is no longer the appropriate term based on your remaining requirements.

Career Advising

Advising on career planning and preparation, finding a job or internship, resumes, cover letters, interview practice, career assessments and grad school preparation.

Major Exploration Advising

Advising for any current Titan who would like to explore any of the Arts degree paths. Please     e-mail     the Student Success Center.

Major Advising

Major advising done by Student Success Team is limited to TDA and Roadmap review. Students are referred to full-time faculty in their respective concentrations for full major advising. Please refer to the lists below to find a major advisor for your concentration.

ADVISING SERVICES FOR INCOMING STUDENTS
